Basement Remodels

Most Philadelphia basements are doing the minimum — mechanicals, storage, a room nobody goes into. That’s real square footage sitting idle, and usually the cheapest square footage in the house to bring back.

The project below became a lower level the family actually lives in: a family room with a media wall, a home office with light and acoustics that work, a wet bar, and a full bath finished to the same standard as the rest of the house. The last photographs show what it looked like underneath — steel framing, insulation, and the waterproofing coordination that decides whether a finished basement stays finished.
