Holders Hill Design & Build partnered with Metropolitan Acoustics to construct the full interior environment for the new recording studio at Manayunk Studios. Working within the acoustic design framework provided by Metropolitan Acoustics, our team executed all internal components, including comprehensive sound attenuation assemblies, acoustic baffles, and sound-separation systems engineered for professional-grade performance.

All finishes, color selections, and aesthetic elements were completed in accordance with the studio’s in-house design team, ensuring the technical requirements and visual identity aligned seamlessly. The result is a fully integrated, acoustically controlled workspace built to meet the studio’s production needs and design vision.

A recording studio is one of the few interiors where the construction is the performance. A wall that looks finished and a wall that actually stops sound are different objects, and the difference is entirely in what happens before the drywall goes on — staggered-stud framing that decouples one side from the other, dense mineral wool in the cavities, isolation everywhere the structure would otherwise carry vibration, and an acoustic ceiling that doesn’t undo any of it.
