Design and Construction, Under One Roof
Most renovations lose something in the handoff. An architect draws it, a separate contractor prices it, and somewhere between the two the idea gets quietly value-engineered into something else.
We keep both sides under one roof. The design and the build answer to the same person — so the drawings are made by someone who knows how they’ll actually be framed, and the finishes are chosen by someone who knows how they’ll be installed.
The work itself is carried out by a small group of tradespeople we’ve worked with for years — carpenters, tilers, electricians we know by name and go back to job after job. Alex is on site supervising throughout. One person accountable, first sketch to final walkthrough.
We work with homeowners across Philadelphia and the surrounding area — Chestnut Hill and Mt. Airy, out through Wyndmoor and Flourtown, down into Roxborough and Manayunk, and across to the Main Line.
Kitchens
A kitchen has to work exactly the way you cook, look exactly the way you live, and hold up for decades without asking anything of you. Because we build what we draw, your layout, cabinetry and finishes are developed with the construction in mind from day one — no surprises when demo starts, no compromises at the finish line.
Custom cabinetry · Island design · Countertops and surfaces · Tile and backsplash · Lighting layout · Appliance integration · Full gut or targeted refresh
Bathrooms
A good bathroom is one of those things you don't fully appreciate until you have one. The right layout, the right light, finishes that feel considered rather than catalogue-picked. We pay as much attention to the waterproofing and the substrate as to the marble — which is the difference between a bathroom that feels luxurious and one that's merely expensive.
Custom tile and stonework · Walk-in and steam showers · Freestanding and built-in tubs · Vanity and storage design · Lighting and ventilation · Full gut or targeted update
Basements
Most Philadelphia basements are doing the minimum — storage, mechanicals, a spare room nobody uses. That's real square footage sitting idle. Done properly, a basement doesn't just get finished; it becomes a room you actually use. An office with proper light and acoustics. A guest suite. A bar. A gym.
Full finishing · Home office and studio builds · Guest suite and bath addition · Wet bar and entertaining space · Egress windows · Waterproofing coordination · Flooring, lighting and trim
Additions & New Construction
New construction is where design and building have to work together most closely, and where splitting them apart causes the most damage. We take a project from first sketch to final finish without the handoff — structural decisions, material choices and design intent all held by the same hands. We've done full new builds, additions, and one-off conversions, including a complete barn-to-home transformation in the Philadelphia suburbs. If the project is ambitious, we're interested.
New home construction · Home additions · Barn and outbuilding conversions · Custom structural design · Full interior build-out · Site coordination and permitting
How It Works
1. Conversation. We walk the house, listen to what you're after, and tell you honestly whether we're the right firm for it.
2. Design. Drawings, selections and a real budget — developed together, so the number means something.
3. Build. A small, consistent crew we've worked with for years. No revolving door, no strangers in your house.
4. Finish. Punch list, walkthrough, and a firm that still answers the phone afterwards.
